Cells are happening
We got good news today, (Monday)! The fertilized eggs are creating cells. There are at least 11 that are 8 cells (growing perfectly) and several that are 4+ cells. The doctor said he’s seen babies be born that we’re only 4 cells at this stage. So that is exciting news! On Wednesday (today) they will start the testing. We will definitely know by next Wednesday how many have the right amount of chromosomes to be frozen and awaiting transfer.
I went in on Monday, because of the discomfort I was still having. I was checked out and all is well. My ovaries are so enlarged (each about the size of an extra large potato), and they are normally about the size of a chicken egg. (Please don’t quote me!!!) I am not a doctor and I didn’t ask to be sure. I got that info off of the internet, and you know what they say about the internet!? 😂 Anyway, it is painful just to walk to the bathroom and back. But, he told me to take it easy and to walk slowly.
On Tuesday, the doctors office called to let us know we may have to pay more money because the amount we paid for the embryologist was only for up to 8 pre-embryos to be biopsied. They aren’t sure how much more it will cost or how many more than 8 there will be until Thursday, but they will call me today with what they do know. Exciting news and holy cow more money?!?!
I am excited to get back to feeling good again. I am not complaining in the least-this process is all worth it to me/us!! We are beyond thrilled so far! We are talking about the future including children now-which seemed almost impossible before! We cannot wait to get the good news next week!
Stay tuned! And as always, thank you with the bottom of our hearts for reading and thinking about us! 🤞❤️🙏😘
My little surprise from Jay the day of the retrieval! 🥰❤️
