Excited about our journey
We went to our consultation with the fertility specialist. The office, staff and doctor were as nice as can be. We felt everything was explained thoroughly. Any questions we had were answered. All of our concerns about the unknown had gone away, well for the most part, for now. We at least know a lot more now than we did yesterday.
We will start with blood tests and prescriptions. Look at the results and go from there.
The doctor was very thorough with everything that goes into the in vitro treatments. He recommended I lose some weight because of my blood pressure. His recommendation was a lo-carb diet. Which is fine. I already run and workout, so I really should be watching my carb intake.
The office will help keep us on track with what happens next. There is no way to remember everything. (Especially since we had to leave our cell phones at the desk before we went back to speak to the dr.). I normally keep notes on my phone. It sounds odd, but I guess he has to protect his business and other patients privacy.
There is hope and excitement again! If all is well with my eggs and retrieval is possible and successful-they say there is a 60% chance with IVF. There are so many variables though. It is so hard to believe that with all that goes into making a baby, how many people we have on this Earth. It truly is miraculous.
First prescription bought, first set of blood tests done… now we wait to see what is next.
Stay tuned……
